1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This policy explains the data practices of the Kegel Exercise team ("we", "us", "our") for the browser-based app and website at kegelexercise.app, including its guides and exercise videos. It describes the current web service; separate app-store or future services may have different practices that must be disclosed before they are introduced.
2. Practice data stored on your device
The app stores completed session dates, duration, selected level and your post-session feedback in this browser's local storage. It also stores interface and narration language, sound preferences, and whether you have completed the introductory guidance. These records are used to show your history, calendar and streaks and to remember your choices.
We do not upload this stored practice history or feedback to a server, create a user account, or synchronise it between devices. The current service does not request your name, email, medical records, camera, microphone or location permissions. Anyone with access to your browser profile may be able to see your locally saved history.
3. Hosting and website analytics
Vercel hosts the website and serves its files. Hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses, request times, requested URLs, browser or device information and other technical access data to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service.
We use Know analytics at www.know.am to understand page visits and outbound link clicks. Its current configuration sends page URLs (including query parameters), page titles, referring pages, browser language, screen dimensions and the destination and text of outbound links. Network requests also expose technical connection data, such as an IP address and browser headers, to the receiving service. Avoid putting personal or health information in website URLs.
The analytics script stores a pseudonymous visitor identifier in local storage under rybbit-visitor-id. Session replay, automatic button-click tracking, clipboard tracking and form-interaction tracking are disabled in the current configuration. We do not configure analytics to read or send your stored practice history or post-session feedback.
We use local browser storage for the app and analytics identifier rather than an account. The app does not set advertising cookies or sell your stored practice history. You can use your browser's privacy controls or a content blocker to prevent requests to www.know.am; clearing site data removes locally stored identifiers and practice records.
5. Your choices and rights
In Settings & privacy, choose Export my history to download a copy or Delete my history to remove completed sessions. Deleting history leaves preferences in place. To remove preferences and the analytics identifier as well, clear site data for www.kegelexercise.app in your browser. Downloads you previously exported must be deleted separately.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, restrict or object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a data protection authority. We cannot identify or retrieve practice records that exist only on your device.
6. Adults, external links and policy updates
The service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. External websites have their own privacy practices; review their policies when following links.
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Where required, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent before introducing new processing.
Terms of Use
1. Using the service
By using Kegel Exercise, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, stop using the service. The service is intended for adults aged 18 and over, for personal, lawful use. The current web app is free and has no subscriptions or in-app payments.
You may use the timer, guides and videos for your own practice. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, or reproduce and redistribute content beyond what its licence or applicable law permits. Third-party material remains subject to its owner's rights.
2. Medical disclaimer — consult your doctor first
Kegel Exercise is a general educational and wellness tool. We do not provide medical care, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions or individual assessment. Use does not establish a clinician–patient relationship. The service is not a medical research study or clinical trial, and its exercise templates are not a clinically validated treatment programme.
Before starting, consult your doctor or a qualified pelvic floor physiotherapist about suitability, technique, intensity and frequency. This is especially relevant if you have symptoms, pelvic pain or tightness, difficulty emptying your bladder or bowels, are pregnant or postpartum, have recently had surgery, or are receiving medical care. Follow your clinician's advice over app defaults.
Exercises may be unsuitable for some people, and incorrect technique or excessive training may worsen symptoms. Stop if you feel pain, discomfort or worsening symptoms, and consult a clinician. Do not practise by repeatedly stopping urine flow. Do not delay medical care because of content in this app. For an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Timers, streaks, suggested levels and videos are product features, not prescriptions, diagnostic tests or evidence of your medical condition. We do not guarantee safety for your individual circumstances, improvements or any particular health outcome. References to health-service information do not imply endorsement or medical review of this app.
3. Your responsibility and limits of liability
You choose whether and how to exercise and are responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice, respecting your physical limits and stopping when needed. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you use the service and rely on its content at your own risk.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties to the extent permitted by law. To that same extent, the Kegel Exercise team and its contributors are not liable for injuries, worsening symptoms, other adverse health outcomes, loss of data, interruptions, or direct or indirect losses arising from use of, or reliance on, the service.
These terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited. They do not waive mandatory consumer rights or other protections under applicable law.
4. Availability, external content and changes
We may update, suspend or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free content, or preservation of browser records. Keep your own exports if needed. External resources are provided for convenience; their operators control their content and availability.
We may revise these terms and update the date above. Review the current version when using the service. Any change remains subject to applicable law and required notices; it does not remove rights you already have. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law.
